Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how VERSUS TECHNOLOGIES LLC (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Waffle Studio (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

• Account data — your email address and, if you sign up with email, a hashed password; or your basic profile if you sign in with Google.
• Brand inputs — the website URL you submit and the brand assets we extract from it (name, logo, colors, typography, copy, social links).
• Generated content — the briefs, avatar matches, and videos we produce for you.
• Billing data — subscription and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
• Usage & device data — logs, analytics events, and cookies (see our Cookie Policy) used to operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use information

• To scan your URL, build your brand kit, generate briefs, match avatars, and render videos.
• To authenticate you, process payments, and manage your subscription and usage allowance.
• To provide support, secure the Service, and comply with legal obligations.
• To analyze and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
• To measure how our ads perform and to avoid showing our ads to people who already have an account (see Advertising & measurement below).

3. Service providers

We share data with processors that help us run the Service — for example hosting and database infrastructure, our authentication provider, our payment processor, AI/render providers, email delivery for verification codes, and product analytics. They may process your data only on our instructions.

4. Advertising & measurement

We advertise Waffle Studio on platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and OpenAI (ChatGPT). To measure those ads and make them more relevant, we share limited data with these platforms:

• Pixels and conversion events — our website uses their measurement tags and cookies (listed in our Cookie Policy), and our servers report key actions such as sign-up, starting a trial or a purchase. These events can include your email address and account ID in SHA-256 hashed form, your IP address, browser user agent, and the ad click identifiers stored in those cookies.
• Customer lists — we may upload the SHA-256 hashed email addresses of our users so these platforms can match them to their own accounts, for example to exclude existing customers from our ads. Hashing happens on our side before upload; the platforms use the list only to match accounts under their advertising terms.

Under some US state laws this may count as “sharing” personal data or “targeted advertising”. You can opt out at any time by emailing us (see Changes & contact below); we will remove you from future customer-list uploads and stop sending conversion events tied to your account. You can also block measurement cookies in your browser or manage ad preferences on each platform.

5. AI processing

Brand inputs and prompts are sent to AI and rendering providers to generate your output. We do not authorize those providers to use your business content to train their models except as needed to deliver results to you, subject to their terms.

6. Retention

We keep your account, brand kits, and videos for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward as needed for legal, security, and backup purposes. You can delete individual videos in the dashboard or request account deletion.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the advertising use described above. To exercise them, contact us using the details below.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
